Birthday Cake and Corndogs

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Ours was packed, but really fun!  After work on Friday, we headed down to Charleston for the weekend for PC's nephew's sixth birthday.   We stopped at this little place called The Mustard Seed for dinner in Summerville.  It was delicious!  I had the Sweet Potato Ravioli and PC had Pecan Crusted Chicken.

We were up early on Saturday and all went to breakfast and then helped get things ready for the birthday party.  That night, we picked up Wild Wing for dinner and watched the Carolina game.  I should really say watched half of the game.  I fell asleep on the couch during halftime and barely remember getting in bed!

Yesterday was the packed day.  We went to the early service at church and then to the birthday party.  I wish I had my camera with me so I could share some pictures of the fun and the best/most delcious cake!  After the party, PC and I drove to Columbia to the State Fair and to hear Darius Rucker.  In the last three months, we've heard him three times: once at the Hootie and the Blowfish Homegrown show on Daniel Island, at a spur of the moment trip up I-95 when he was performing with Brad Paisley, and then last night.  It was a great show.  I told PC that I think he's the most vocal fan of the Gamecocks.  After he played, we walked around the fair and had corndogs and fried mushrooms.  Yum!

This week, I'm looking forward to Chuck, catching up on our Thursday night shows, Pumpkin Carving! (more on this later), Friday night date night, more runs for my half-marathon training (more on this later, too), and a fun day in Columbia on Saturday watching Carolina beat Tennessee.
